Accies Career

Overview

He was an inside forward who played in 1946-47, a season which brought relegation to the club. A signing from Accrington Stanley. He made few first team games, although he did go out in a blaze of glory as he scored the only goal in a 5-1 defeat at Greenock.

At the end of the season, he opted for reinstatement and he joined Clydebank Juniors. He later moved to the Highland League where he played for Elgin City and Huntly. He returned south and was Manager at Dumbarton in the 1950's. Father of Ian who turned out for Accies.

Debut on 17th August 1946 in a Scottish League match at home to St Mirren which was lost 4-1.
