JOLLIFFE (1943)

Overview

Yet another war time player of whom little has been found other than as below. He operated at left back in 1943 while at the club. He had appeared in a pre-season trial against Accies in an Army X1. An Englishman who was said to be good with either foot and tenacious in the tackle, typical of so many small full backs of the day. A player of that name had appeared with Tottenham Hotspur on one occasion.

Debut on 20th November 1943 in a Southern League match away to Heart of Midlothian.
