Overview

A skilful inside forward who came from Bellshill Athletic in 1984, having graduated from Bellshill YM to the junior grade. A clever user of the ball, he was hard hit by injury while with Accies, despite this he made over a hundred league and cup outings for the club, before in 1987 moving to Forfar Athletic. After two years there he found the travelling a bit difficult and he was transferred to Clyde.

His injury hoodoo kept up with him and he gave up the game as a senior as a result. In 1994 he was helping out at Blantyre Victoria, while a year on, he was back at his roots with Bellshill YM, so he had completed the full circle, ending on a high when he played for them when they won the Scottish Cup in 1996. The following year he joined the Coaching staff at Clyde.

Born in Coatbridge on 13th January 1963.

Debut on 11th August 1984 in a Scottish League fixture away to Ayr United which was drawn 1-1.
