WALLACE, Robert (1923)

Overview

A native of Glenbuck, he was a well regarded left winger while with Muirkirk Juniors and Accies signed him in face of competition from other First Division sides. He was an outside left, aged 18 and said to be well built. Signed in 1923 he disappointed in the few appearances he was given and was soon on his way from Hamilton, joining Bathgate in October of that same year on loan. At the close of season 1923-24 he was transferred to Plymouth Argyle where he joined other two ex-Accies, Fred Craig and Paddy Corcoran.

Debut on 14th August 1923 at home to Hamilton Garrison. He scored in the Lanarkshire Cup match.
