CAUGHEY, James (1964)

Overview

Jim made Accies history as the first player to appear for the club from the substitutes bench, at Alloa, when Jacky Mordue was injured in September 1966. That was his only league appearance. He had been signed from Viewpark Boys Guild in 1964 and had been associated with Celtic. On being freed in 1968 he signed for his local junior combine, Tannochside Recreation.

His death, in Texas, was intimated to the club in June 2009.

Debut on 8th August 1964 in a Scottish League Cup tie at home to Stranraer which finished 2-2.
