Overview
When Accies won promotion in 1964-65, they did it by using only fifteen players in the thirty six league games and Bobby was one of them. He had been with Kilmarnock Amateurs before turning to the junior grade with Troon, and then he went to Kilmarnock.
On being released by the Rugby Park club, he was signed by Andy Paton for Accies. He was mainly played on the left wing, but could play in any of the front positions. In his seventeen outings during the promotion season he scored on nine occasions. In his year in the top division, his figures were fifteen games, three goals. Freed at the end of the term as new faces were introduced.
Debut on 2nd September 1964 at home to Ayr United in a Scottish League encounter which was won 1-0.
