1877/78
Overview
By the start of season 1877-78 yet another name appeared in the burgh, Hamilton Thistle whose ground was in Tuphall Road and Accies were asked to do the honours and came away with a resounding 7-0 victory. In the Scottish Cup the short journey was made to Uddingston where a 3-0 defeat was inflicted on the visitors. Whatever the reason not many matches were played that campaign and even off the field little was happening as the only thing noted was that at the AGM held on 6th March 1878, John Miller was Secretary.
