DOUGLAS, Alexander (1935)

Overview

Came to Hamilton in 1935 on loan from Clyde, an outside left. At the commencement of the 1937-38 season he was on the books of Albion Rovers. He was one of a number of Lanarkshire juniors who had been taken to Shawfield by the club officials, in his case it was in June 1934 from Larkhall Thistle. A poor debut game as he did not play as well as he was capable of.

By 1938 he had been another who sought to play his football over the Irish Sea when he was signed by Glentoran.

Debut on 7th March 1936 in a Scottish League match away to Kilmarnock.
