McGUIRE, Eddie (1928)
Overview
Newport County was his club before coming to Douglas Park in the 1928 close season. He turned out at left back. One of five newcomers who were introduced that day. Four of them were defenders which may be one reason why Accies lost 4-1. Something of a disappointment in his first match, though he held his place for several weeks until the veteran, Jock Wilson, was brought in from Dunfermline Athletic. Eddie came from Fife.
Debut on 11th August 1928 in a Scottish League match at home to Third Lanark.
