STEWART, James (1909)

Overview

A right half signed from Strathclyde in 1909 and was introduced straight away. He also appeared at centre and left half for spells. By the end of the season he had lost his place at right half to Willie Black.

Even though he was still with Accies for all of the next season he was seen on a very few occasions, one of which was in the 1909-10 Final of the Lanarkshire Cup, played late, in August 1910, when Accies and Wishaw Thistle held the cup on a joint basis after drawing 1-1 at Fir Park after a replay.

Debut on 17th August 1909 in a Scottish League match away to Celtic.
