JACK, John (1928)

Overview

John was a wing half who was signed from Kilsyth Rangers, with whom he had been capped three times as a junior, in the 1928 close season. Played in the early part of the season when the bulk of his outings were recorded. The next term added only three games to his figures before he was released.

He had come to the attention of Accies when he was playing for Dunbartonshire against Lanarkshire on 18th February 1928. Small, but did not lack pluck, was the report on that day. When he appeared for his first Accies outing, he was said to show some clever touches.
