Accies Career

Overview

An Englishman, he played three matches in the Premier League for Accies and he was never on a losing side. He was playing in Sweden with IFK Goteburg and in Iceland with IBK Keflavik prior to John Lambie bringing him to Hamilton.

A wily midfielder who was born in Liverpool and was in the Bury side which had met Accies in a pre-season friendly at Douglas Park in 1978. He also appeared for Port Vale on leaving Bury in that year, being Port Vale’s record signing, £40,000, at that time. When his trial period was up in 1986 he decided to go back south rather than remain with Accies. His next move took him to Cyprus where he joined APOEL before he gave up playing after a spell at Barrow. Bolton Wanderers were employing him in 2000 as a Youth Coach.

Debut on 29th November 1986 in a Premier League match away to Hibernian which Accies won 3-1.
