PATON, Tom (1901)

Overview

A centre forward who appeared at Douglas Park briefly in August and September 1901. Went to Royal Albert then to Rangers in May 1903. As a result of his move to Ibrox Accies received £10.

In 1905 he moved south to Derby County where he spent a season and a bit before being transferred to Sheffield United for another brief period until moving to Love Street in 1907. In 1912 while with St Mirren he was in the Larkhall players side v the Lanarkshire players at Douglas Park on 30th April. He was at centre forward in a 2-0 win.

Tom was born in Larkhall and he also played for the Larkhall United team.

Debut 24th August 1901 in a Scottish League match away to Ayr FC.
