SMITH, John (1911)

Overview

A junior with Vale of Clyde before he signed for Millwall. Came to Douglas Park in September 1911. A centre forward, his claim to fame while based at Douglas Park was that in the Lanarkshire Consolation Cup tie against Dykehead which was played over two legs, he scored a hat trick in each of the matches. A busy player in a season when Accies League goals were in short supply.

Debut on 23rd September 1911 in a Scottish League match away to Airdrieonians.
