KELLY, Pat (1942)
Overview
A South African born goalkeeper signed from Aberdeen prior to the start of the 1942-43 season. He also appeared as a guest with Dundee United on January 1st 1945, while four months later he did likewise for Arsenal.
When the war finished he moved to Barnsley in October 1946 and while with them he appeared in 145 matches. By February 1952 he had signed for Crewe Alexandria and completed his time with them the following year after turning out for them 38 times. While with Barnsley he was capped by Northern Ireland in a match against Scotland at Hampden on 1st November 1950.
Debut on 8th August 1942 away to Airdrieonians in a Southern League match.
