Overview

Played with Motherwell Welfare when given a trial by Accies. Having scored three goals he was sought after by the Douglas Park officials however his loyalties lay elsewhere and he was signed by Motherwell, ten days later, on 19th May 1942 while still an eighteen year old schoolboy at Wishaw High. He went on to score 5 times in 5 matches for Motherwell before being released in 1949.

Debut on 9th May 1942 in a Southern League match at home to Dumbarton.
