JACK, Jimmy (1936)
Overview
A goalkeeper who had been signed from Stenhousemuir in 1935, having previously been capped as a Junior while with Burnbank Athletic. Chosen to play in the Scottish Alliance side to meet Aberdeen at Pittodrie on 27th February 1937.
He had a difficult task in trying to oust Jimmy Morgan during his reign at Douglas Park. In his debut match he lost five goals but was reckoned to have played well, though at fault for one of the Motherwell counters. He graduated B.Sc., with Honours in 1938.
Debut on 19th September 1936 in a Scottish League match away to Motherwell.
