Overview

A winger who played twice on the left with his other outing sandwiched in between at outside right in consecutive matches in 1933.

He had come to the club from Airdrieonians where he had played with much success and while at Broomfield he had represented the Scottish League versus the Irish League in September 1931 with Willie Moffat also in the side.

He made a very good impression on his Accies debut, however with Frank Wilson and Jimmy King as the regular wingers and an up and coming Bobby Reid breaking through George’s career at Douglas Park was not prolonged. A bad leg injury did not help his chances.

In September 1934 he was assisting Hibernian reserves. A month later he signed for Queen of the South. He was Glasgow born. 5’9” in height and weighed 10 Sts.

Debut on 11th March 1933 in a Scottish League match away to Clyde.
