Overview

Marvin came to Accies from Raith Rovers in July 2009. He was 20 years of age when his career took off while playing for San Juan Jabloteh in the Port of Spain. He came to Scotland in 1997 and joined Raith Rovers where he was a mainstay in the centre of their defence for the next three years.

He then moved to Livingston for a fee of £50,000 and while there he was the recipient of a League Cup Winner’s medal when the “Lions” defeated Hibernian. While at Almondvale the club were promoted to the Premier League and he was their Player of the Year.

In 2004 he then signed for Rangers, and was also Player of the Year at Ibrox in 2005, there he spent two terms before he was released and he re-joined Raith Rovers and played his part in their title winning squad in 2009.

He has over one hundred caps and ten goals to his name as a representative of Trinidad and Tobago. Marvin gained his 101st cap for Trinidad & Tobago, and his only while an Accie, in a World Cup qualifier away to Honduras, losing 4-1, in September 2009. Marvin becomes the 5th Accies player to gain full international honours while with the club.

On his debut he did not look match fit as Accies struggled in their opening fixture of the season. His partnership in defence with Izzy Irikepen was not too solid. In December he went on an emergency loan for a month to Queen of The South.

Just before the end of the January transfer window he was released by Accies. He then joined the Dumfries club on a permanent basis only to be released at the end of the season. He then signed for Wrexham in the English Conference League in a six month deal, this was later extended to the end of 2010-11.
