Accies Career

Overview

From the time he joined the club in 1963, from Baillieston Juniors, Sam proved to be a valuable servant to Accies. On most occasions he lined up at right back, although his versatility allowed him to play almost anywhere in defence. Spent five seasons at Douglas Park including of course the promotion winning season of 1964-65. He was forced to retire in 1968 due to injury.

A noted jeweller in Glasgow following his retirement from the sport. Keeps in touch with the club.

Debut on 25th September 1963 in a Scottish League match away to Stirling Albion which Accies won 3-2.
