Overview

One of Eric Smith's signings, Alan had been based at Cappielow before coming to Douglas Park in 1973. An inside forward, he appeared for Accies at a time when the club was in a period of transition.

Freed in 1974, he moved to Dumbarton where he spent a further two years before East Stirling signed him in 1976 and he became a regular at Firs Park. Alan later emigrated to Australia. As a youngster he was with Pheonix Boys Club and Crystal Palace.

Born on 29th September 1954.

Debut on 25th August 1973 in a Scottish League Cup tie at home to East Stirlingshire which ended 0-0.
