Overview

Signed in 1928. He was a left back who had come from Dunfermline Athletic whom he gone to in 1925 after being released by Heart of Midlothian, with whom he appeared in the 1919 Victory Cup Final against St Mirren, the Paisley side won 3-0 after extra time and the match was played at Parkhead. He had gone to Tynecastle from Shawfield Juniors.

Allowed to leave Douglas Park in 1931 on a free transfer as a thank you for his efforts while under Willie McAndrew’s stewardship. It was expected that he would join Hibernian however in July he was signed by St Johnstone. Jock was an Englishman, born in Sunderland.

Of average height at 5’8” and weighed 11sts 10lbs.

Debut on 24th November 1928 in a Scottish League match at home to Queen’s Park.
