BELL, John (1923)

Overview

With Hugh Collins on the injured list, the centre forward position was given to John who had been with Albion Rovers and Dundee. He was very disappointing in the games in which he played. Came from Tannochside.

He was signed by the Rovers in 1922 in an exchange deal which saw Geordie Greenshields going to Dens Park. He had made quite a name for himself while at Dundee. Signed principally for the Scottish Cup in 1923. Once again as in previous years this didn’t work out for Accies. 5’8” and 11sts 7lbs.

Debut in the Scottish Cup away to Dundee on 14th February 1923.
