WEIR, James (1928)

Overview

A particularly effective junior with Kilsyth Rangers and while with them in season 1923-24 he notched in excess of 70 goals. In 1928 he came to Hamilton on loan during the period February until April and proved a competent scorer for the club. Queen of the South took him to Palmerston in February 1930. A change of leagues came in five months time when Norwich City paid £300 for his transfer.

When January 1932 came he was again plying his trade in Scotland, Armadale being the benefactors. He remained in the east when his next sojourn took him to Bo’ness in April also 1932. Dunfermline Athletic sought his help for the start of the next season. Ultimately he moved to Dundee United from September 1933 for two months.
