MURRAY, John (1945)

Overview

A 1945 signing from Newarthill Hearts. A lad who appeared in both the wing half positions during his stay at Douglas Park in the unofficial season after the Second World War finished. In a terrible season for the club he was one of the many released when the club management took stock. He was signed as a reinstatement by Carluke Rovers with whom he was a star at inside forward.

Debut on 13th October 1945 in a Southern League match away to Heart of Midlothian.
