LISTER, Bert (1924)

Overview

Previous club was Queen of the South Wanderers as the Dumfries club were originally known. He signed for Accies in 1924 and was an outside left. With Tom Gillespie he was back playing with his former club at Palmerston Park in August 1925. He had an eye for a goal and it was a bit of a surprise when he left Douglas Park. By November 1927 he was with Dunfermline Athletic. His father was trainer with Partick Thistle.

Debut on 16th August 1924 against St Johnstone at Douglas Park in a 3-2 home win in a Scottish League fixture. He scored the first goal.
