CRINGAN, Robert (1918)

Overview

A younger brother of the Celtic and Scotland player, Willie Cringan. The young man came to Douglas Park in February 1918 to fill the outside right position. His brother was in the opposition team when he made his debut. Robert was with Douglas Water Thistle, his local junior outfit, then Parkhead Juniors. He attracted the attention of the Ayr United management and it was from Somerset Park that he joined Accies. He disappointed in his only outing in red and white.

Debut on 16th February 1918 against Celtic in a Scottish League match at Douglas Park.
