Overview

Signed from St Mirren in 1919 to fill the centre forward position which was causing concern, he was moderately successful.

He had also a spell with Queen’s Park Rangers. The season after being at Douglas Park he was reinstated to St Mirren Juniors. He next joined Morton then went south for two years with Grimsby Town in1921. He made 4 appearances for Manchester United in 1923 then went to York City, Boston Town then Shirebrook. Greenock born he also played for Port Glasgow Athletic.

Debut on 18th January 1919 against Clyde at Shawfield in a First Division League match in which he scored in a 1-0 win.

Scottish League 7 Appearances 3 Goals.
