Overview

A local lad, born in Burnbank, who was signed from Sunderland in November 1913. He had been with Burnbank Athletic, before going to Bradford City in 1910. He cost £800, a sizeable fee in those far off days, when he moved to Roker Park from the Yorkshire club in November 1911. His value had dropped somewhat when he appeared at Douglas Park. Played as centre forward while in England.

Debut on 1st November 1913 in a Scottish League match at home to Aberdeen.
