Overview

A centre half signed from Neilston Juniors, he made his Accies debut in the 1969-70 season. A tough central defender. He made a name for himself when he retired from the playing side and looked after the interests of the Scottish juniors, at international level, and also as Manager of Pollok.

In 1990 he gave up the post at Newlandsfield and he took charge at Largs Thistle, his place at Pollok being taken by Tommy Reynolds, who has also appeared in an Accies strip albeit as a trialist.

Dickie was 6' 1" and weighed 11 sts. Born in Shawlands.

Debut on 5th March 1969 in a Scottish League match away to Queen’s Park which was lost 1-0.
