Accies Career

Overview

Robert had two spells at Accies, in 1984 he played in the final seven matches of the season while on loan from St Mirren, then in 1987 he again came on loan, this time from Kilmarnock although even then he only appeared as a substitute.

A man of many clubs, he was with East Stirlingshire, Dundee, Hibernians of Malta, Partick Thistle, Dumbarton and Stirling Albion as well as those named above. In 1997 he was with Stranraer. A midfield general, he had gone to St Mirren from their Boys Club side in 1981. When he was transferred from Dumbarton in 1989 to Stirling Albion, the fee was £10,000. He then returned to Dumbarton and then went on to play for East Stirlingshire and Stranraer. In July 1998 he was signed by Albion Rovers Manager, Billy McLaren from Stranraer.

Born in Glasgow on 11th September 1965.

Debut on 31st March 1984 in a Scottish League match away to Partick Thistle in a 2-1 win.
