PEARSON, Issac (1929)
Overview
A left back who came to Hamilton at the same time as Davie Wilson, from Hebburn Colliery in 1928. He didn’t quite hit the same heights. His only outing was in Accies last match of the season in which another newcomer was a young Fife youth by the name of Alex Herd.
Issac was not quite up to the standard of either Wilson or Herd and he was released during the close season. When it was announced in the local press that he had been chosen to play against Clyde, it was stated that it would probably be his one and only game for the club and so it turned out, though he had played very well on the day in a side which contained five reserves. On leaving Douglas Park he went to Barrow.
Born in Hebburn, he weighed 11sts 6lbs and stood 5’8”.
Debut on 27th April 1929 in a Scottish League match away to Clyde.
