BALLOCH, James (1920)

Overview

Armadale was his club before he was signed by Accies in 1920. He was one of the stars of the pre season trial in August 1920. Aged 24, he was 5’8” and weighed 12sts 4lbs. When he broke into the team he was playing well until he received an injury and he was never quite the same player when he got back into the side.

Before the outbreak of war in 1914, he had been with Heart of Midlothian. On departing Hamilton in 1921 he was taken on by the new Second Division side, Clackmannan.

Debut on 14th August 1920 at home to Airdrieonians in a Friendly match.
