Overview

An English born player who filled the headlines when he came to Accies in 1952, reputed to be a prolific goalscorer. He was a huge disappointment and disappeared almost as quickly as he had arrived.

He may have been the same person who had been capped by the Irish League and who had been signed by Sheffield United, Orient and Rochdale before returning to Ards and then was brought back to England for a spell at Sunderland. Two transfers followed, first of all to Watford and then again with Rochdale who signed him in February 1952 appearing twice thereafter for them.

Born in Prescott on 1st September 1925.

Debut on 23rd August 1952 in a Scottish League Cup tie at home to Morton in a 3-2 defeat.
