A goalkeeper signed from Larkhall Thistle in 1935. He played well on his initial outing for Accies. Previously with Burnbank Athletic having left them in the 1935 close season. Given a free in April 1937. In November 1938 he signed for East Stirling.

Debut on 15th April 1936 in a Lanarkshire Cup match at home to Motherwell.
