BLUE, James (1921)

Overview

Came from Albion Rovers in November 1921 in an endeavour to replace the injured Jimmy Dickson. He was an inside forward who did not impress in his sole outing. He had been a junior with Vale of Clyde.

While at Coatbridge he was a member of the Rovers side which played in their first ever match at Cliftonhill on Christmas Day 1919 against St Mirren, who won 2-0 in front of 8,000 onlookers. He was in the Cliftonhill eleven which Accies defeated 2-1 in the Lanarkshire Cup final at the close of season 1919-20.

Debut on 26th November 1921 in a 5-0 defeat away to Rangers.
