KELY, Willie (1898)

Overview

Started at centre half in Accies second year as members of the Scottish League, the following week he wore number 6. Other than a couple of friendlies and the Lanarkshire Cup, that’s his Accies spell.

He then joined West Ham United, before in 1903 signing for Notts County, then on to Brighton and Hove Albion. He then returned to Scotland and was with Bathgate and Maxwelltown Volunteers.

Born in Kirkintilloch on 27th March 1880.

Debut on 13th August 1898 at home to Motherwell in a Friendly.
