Overview

Born on 11th July 1924, in Larkhall, he played for Larkhall Thistle before he moved to Motherwell in 1945. From there he was transferred to Bury in 1949. After seventeen English League games he returned to Scotland when Clyde signed him in November of the same year. He was a left winger who was always on the go, both on and off the park, as he joined yet another club when he signed for Third Lanark.

As Accies struggled to get a settled side in 1956, he came to Douglas Park on loan to become one of forty two players given an outing in the red and white hoops before the end of the season. On his return to Cathkin he was freed and he moved yet again, this time to Montrose.

Debut on 11th February 1956 in a Scottish League match away to Dundee United in a 3-3 draw in which he scored.
