BROWN, Hugh (1942)

Overview

Father of Craig Brown the former Scotland coach and of ex-Celtic General Manager, Jock Brown. Hugh was a tough tackling inside man who was a physical education officer. He played with King’s Park prior to the Second World War and it was during the war that he turned out for Accies. He later lived in Hamilton where Craig and Jock went to the Academy.

Debut on 12th September 1942 in a Southern League match at home to Partick Thistle in which he scored twice.
