McGRAW, Tom (1907)

Overview

An exciting prospect in the lower grades of the sport where he was playing for Common Thistle who were from the Kilmarnock area. Accies officials travelled to Ayrshire to sign him and he was reckoned to be a smart capture in 1907. He was a free scoring centre forward and it was hoped that he would be able to produce his magic as a senior. He hit four goals before the close of the season, three of them against Heart of Midlothian at Douglas Park in the last League fixture of the campaign.

The following year he played in most of the matches but his scoring rate was not impressive and he was not retained for 1908-09.

Debut on 16th March 1907 in a Scottish League match away to Dundee.
