CLIFFORD, Samuel (1914)

Overview

A Mossend Hibs player signed in 1914. His father, Hugh, was a former Celtic half back. Sam too was a half back. His career with Hamilton lasted two seasons. As a junior he was highly thought of but like so many others it was maybe a step too far. He was reinstated to the junior ranks with Newarthill Thistle. In 1919 he was turning out with Burnbank Athletic.

Debut on 15th August 1914 in a Scottish League fixture away to Rangers.
