Overview

When Jack came to Hamilton late in 1945, he came as a Scottish Junior Internationalist having been capped as a dashing centre forward while at Westfield Park with Carnoustie Panmure. Originally from Holytown. Signed as a centre forward though in his 15 matches he appeared in several positions.

Sadly with Accies he never showed the sparkle which had marked his play as a junior and he was freed in 1947. He had been tried on the wing as well while at Douglas Park. The result of being freed was that he signed for Brechin City.

Debut on 29th December 1945 in a Southern League match away to Kilmarnock.
