Accies Career

Overview

A midfielder signed by Billy Reid when “Badger” took over at New Douglas Park in 2005. Brown came from Alloa Athletic to Accies and played on the right side of midfield. Despite not being too often first choice he still managed to get some goals to his name.

Prior to being with Alloa he had played for East Stirlingshire until 2002. He was an “S” signing for the Firs Parkers in 26th July 1999. While at the Bainsford club he missed most of season 2002-03 after receiving a broken leg in a CIS League Cup match against Raith Rovers.

At the close of season 2005-06 he decided to move from Accies and he signed for Partick Thistle. A year later he was back at Recreation Park with Alloa under Allan Maitland, who appointed him as captain of the Recreation Park club.

5’ 11” and the scales stopped at 12sts 6lbs.

Born in Falkirk on 4th June 1981.

Debut on 30th July 2005 in a League Challenge Cup tie away to Queen’s Park in which he scored in a 3-0 win.
