Overview
At 6' 1", he was brought to Accies by Manager Iain Munro to lend his height, and experience to a young side either in defence or up front. He was twenty five when he entered the senior grade, signing for Falkirk in 1984 from Baillieston Juniors. He was a popular player at Brockville and it was a bit of a shock to the Bairns fans when he moved to Motherwell in 1986. His stay there was short lived and he once again teamed up with his old mates at Falkirk.
After being freed in 1993 he signed for Accies, although freed by the club in 1995, he was resigned. At the close of Accies promotion winning season, 1996-97, Crawford moved to Clyde.
In August 1998 he joined Stenhousemuir from Clyde. He was employed by the Arnold Clark Organisation and he left there in 1999 to take up the post of Commercial Manager with one of his former clubs, Falkirk.
In the junior grade he had been with Cambuslang Rangers and Larkhall Thistle before Baillieston. He gained a Runners up medal in the Scottish Junior Cup Final in 1982 and 1984 while with the Station Park side.
