McDOWELL, Issac (1941)

Overview

A guest player signed in October 1941 who had been with Cowdenbeath previously, also as a guest as he was actually registered as a Motherwell player. A centre forward, although in the two Summer League ties in which he played, he was at centre half.

His career also took him over the Irish Sea and while playing in Northern Ireland he was chosen to play for the Irish League in Belfast against the English League. He scored twice in a 4-3 defeat for the home side.

Debut on 26th October 1941 in a Southern League match away to Clyde in which he scored.
