Overview
Born in Glasgow on 31st March 1981. Signed by Morton in 1999 from Erskine Boys Club. From Cappielow he moved on to Clyde in 2000, then returned to the Juniors. From Neilston Juniors he came to Hamilton in 2003.
While at New Douglas Park, Chris was a hard working midfielder whose goals were to say the least, spectacular. “Tiff” didn’t score tap ins, all were possible nominations for Goal of the Season.
When Accies moved up to the First Division in May 2004 he struggled to keep his place in the side and he moved in the January window to Stirling Albion where he continued his goal scoring form with similar types of strikes. Such was his form during the 2006-07 season as the Binos battled for promotion that he was one of the nominees for the Second Division Player of the Year. With promotion gained by the Albion he once again found the net on many occasions and despite his efforts the Stirling club found themselves relegated a year later.
With Brian Reid in charge at Somerset Park, Chris was taken on by Ayr United, where he captained the side as they sought to move up a league once again, which was achieved. As a penalty kick taker he has scored 35 out of 36 taken. In January 2010 he returned to Stirling Albion on loan from Ayr and played his part in the “Bino’s” being promoted to the First Division at the end of the season.
Debut on 2nd August 2003 in a League Challenge Cup at home to St Johnstone which was lost 3-2 after extra time.
