BELL, Duncan (1921)

Overview

Motherwell, Accies, Clydebank and Vale of Leven. This was part of Duncan’s route through the football game. Duncan was a local chap who came to Douglas Park in 1921 and was understudy to George Wall at outside left. When he latter broke his arm early in 1922, Duncan had an extended run in the side, including the games which Accies played in the Scottish Cup before going out in the Quarter Final replay at Aberdeen.

He been with the junior club, St Anthony’s when he was part of the Scottish Junior party which travelled to Norway to play three matches all of which he appeared in. Duncan was with Cadzow St Anne’s prior to the Moore Park Saints.

Debut on 12th September 1921 in a Lanarkshire Cup tie at home to Royal Albert.
