DEMPSTER, Morton (1941)

Overview

First appeared for Accies at the end of the 1940-41 season in the four matches of the Summer Cup competition as a forward, joining the club from Dundee according to local reports. He later played as a half back in most of his other games.

During the Second World War he appeared many times for the Scottish Command Select which often played club sides between 1943 and 1945. One in particular was for Scottish Command against Northern Command at Darlington on December 16th 1944. In April 1947 he moved from Cowdenbeath to Alloa Athletic.

Debut on 7th June 1941 in a Summer Cup tie away to Airdrieonians in which he scored.
