SIMPSON, Robert (1902)

Overview

Another former Blantyre Hibernian player. He played at right back in his three consecutive outings, all of which Accies lost. To be fair, all were away from Douglas Park at St Bernard’s, Falkirk and Arthurlie. Possibly Belfast born and died in Coatbridge in 1929. Said to have been capped by Ireland but the record books don’t confirm this.

Debut on 19th November 1902 in a Friendly match against Celtic at home.
