Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand

五饼二鱼的故事

一天，耶稣渡到加利利海的对面。有一群人跟随着他，因为他们看到了他在那些病人身上所行医治的神迹奇事。

然后耶稣就上了一个山坡，与他的门徒一起坐下。耶稣看到有那么一大群人跟随着他，就问菲利普说，“我们在哪里买吃的给这些人呢？”其实耶稣知道自己该怎么做，他问菲利普只是想给他一个考验。 

菲利普回答说，“就算是拿八个月的薪水来买吃的，还不够那么多人每人吃一口！” 

耶稣的另外一个门徒就开口了。那个门徒叫安德烈，就算西门彼得的兄弟。他说，“这儿有个男孩子，他手里有五个大麦饼，还有两条小鱼。面对这么多人，这么些吃的又有什么用呢？”

耶稣说，“让人们坐下。”在那里，地上有很多草，于是人们就坐下。计算了一下，其中男丁就有五千。（当时人们不计算女人或者小孩 – 译者註） 

耶稣拿起那些饼，祝谢了以后就传给那些坐下了的人们。他就从他的手中不断地传出来，尽量按他们的需要给他们。而且他把鱼也这样传给所有的人。 

当所有的人都吃饱了以后，耶稣就对他的门徒说，“把那些零碎的食物都收起来，不可以浪费。” 

因此那些门徒就把那从原来只是五个饼里传出来的、吃剩下的饼都收集起来。从那些已经吃饱了的人们中间，他们收集到十二篮子的食物。 

人们看到了耶稣又行了这样的神迹奇事，就说“这一定是那位将要来到世间的救世主了。”但是耶稣知道他们想要来强迫他做他们的皇帝，就独自离开他们到山上去了。

讨论问题：

1. 在那一天，为什么会有那么多的人跟随耶稣？

2. 在这个故事里，如果男丁就有5000，那你估计总的人数有多少（包括女人和小孩）？

3. 如果要去买食物给这群人吃的话，他们将要花多少钱？

4. 在这人群里，是谁带了食物？耶稣是怎么听说有人带食物的？

5. 带着的食物有多少？

6. 耶稣是否出钱去买食物给人们吃？

7. 耶稣是用什么方式给人们食物的呢？

One day, Jesus crossed over to the other side of the Sea of Galilee. A large crowd of people followed him. They had seen the miraculous signs he had done on those who were sick.

Then Jesus went up on a mountainside. There he sat down with his disciples. Jesus looked up and saw a large crowd coming toward him. So he said to Philip, “Where can we buy bread for these people to eat?” He asked this only to put Philip to the test. He already knew what he was going to do.

Philip answered him, “Eight months’ pay would not buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!”

Another of his disciples spoke up. It was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He said, “Here is a boy with five small loaves of barley bread. He also has two small fish. But how far will that go in such a large crowd?”

Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass in that place, and they sat down. The number of men among them was about 5,000.

Then Jesus took the loaves and gave thanks. He handed out the bread to those who were seated. He gave them as much as they wanted. And he did the same with the fish.

When all of them had enough to eat, Jesus spoke to his disciples. “Gather the leftover pieces,” he said. “Don’t waste anything.”

So they gathered what was left over from the five barley loaves. They filled 12 baskets with the pieces left by those who had eaten.

The people saw the miraculous sign that Jesus did. Then they began to say, “This must be the Prophet who is supposed to come into the world.” But Jesus knew that they planned to come and force him to be their king. So he went away again to a mountain by himself.
